Why do people do this I ask myself, sneeze with no tissue to cover-up? I say at least use hands or something to create a natural barrier from the spray when battling a sniffle - ok sometimes we just get caught out, however, look below at the potential impact if you do not cover up! When I look at these people I say in my mind, "You, my friend, have been overrun by bacteria and viruses - and guess what, you're gonna keep them all to yourself - so no need to share, thanks!". Cover up that explosion for goodness sakes, it's a completely selfless act and costs you nothing. Personally, I think if more individuals adopted a different mindset when sick then we would all benefit from not having to struggle with so many viruses, microbes, and bacterias causing us health issues during the colder seasons.
I propose a campaign - Empower the Snotty! A visualisation is needed - let's say 'the superhero protecting humankind when a cold strikes, the hero fears no virus. Determined, strong and powerful, the hero is able to unlock the secret energy source within, it ensures no nasties flourish! - Release the power with full force my heroes!' Our mindset is a powerful healing tool (placebo effect demonstrates this) so yes we can all do this people! Who's with me...
We see this type of script in the movies, right? The 'innocent' caught in the eye of a (projectile) storm or in the line of fire - the debris is catapulted (sneezing, snotting and coughing), there is collateral damage as the aliens/enemy land to take over (cold, flue virus) - however one person, the hero has the mental capacity to save the day...bbbBOOM, simple! hahaha...direct your media enquiries to my Agent please ..lol.
Anyway back to reality. Please don't think I have a lack of sympathy for those afflicted by cough, cold, chill and flu, I do. However, I'm also making the serious point that at this time of year we can spend vital life force energy on defense rather than attack - ie be boosted and ready with a strong immune system. The immune system includes an array of organs and cells designed to fight off aggressive lifeforms in our body (the spleen, lymphatics, lymph nodes, white blood cells, skin, tonsils and liver, to name the main army) - your habits determine how effective the system can work together. So I state the obvious that Healthy habits = Optimal wellness.
Purposeful preparation and maintenance can provide that 'Ready Brek' warm aura glow around you over the colder seasons - this is how a strong immune system can insulate you, it's particularly needed when the environment is interchangeable during late summer and autumn with wind, rain sunshine then storms. Those of us who fail to prepare will spend months fighting ongoing attacks from ill-meaning life forms during the darker, colder and wet periods.
So let's focus on what nature is saying at this time of year to maximise our wellness and be in sync. We've had the high energies and warm vibrancy of the sun-kissed summer, it is now waning; there are hints around us to suggest how best to utilise our energy - harvesting (stocking up) is the key. There are also beautiful colors emerging comprised of splashes of deep reds, yellow and orange - look, listen and learn. The transition and ability to boost our wellness is a lot easier when we allow ourselves to best align with nature. Overexertion and new beginnings work against optimal health at this time whilst warming with a focus on regeneration and nourishment through rest, work best to boost you. Surround yourself with comforts at work, home and other spaces.
Natural solutions through the use of doTERRA essential oils are a massive tool for me, they help me to surround myself with comfort and an injection of support for my immune system at this time of year, particularly on the go. You can find out more from my local events or why not contact me for a 1 to 1 consultation, I spend time focusing on ways to optimise your personal health at this time.
In terms of mindset, there are also other important considerations. If you've worked earnestly during spring and summer to plant the seeds toward your desired goals and have watered (nurtured) them well, the bounty of your result is likely to be sufficient for preservation during colder months. If this has not been the case, take time to reflect on how you will maximise current investments and savour ideas for new projects to be launched ideally in the spring. Also (if like me) you are particularly sensitive to energetic shifts, the healthy journey of conservation is reflected in your mood and energy levels - a natural instinct to absorb, harvest, ground yourself and consolidate, with a need to let go of the unnecessary scenarios that drain energy is in sync with nature so don't fight it.
